This is a refresher course that must be completed each calendar year that you hold a security guard registration. Your registration (license) is valid for two years. That means that every two years, you must renew your license. In addition, every year that you maintain your security guard license, you must complete an 8 Hour Annual In-Service Training course between your effective date and the expiration date. If you do not take the 8 Hour Annual In-Service Training course every year, you may not be eligible for renewal or you may have to make up classes.
